By accessing or using the TagIT mobile application, website at scanowner.in, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TagIT provides a platform for protecting personal belongings through smart QR code tags. The Service allows users to:

Register items and link them to QR code tags.
Receive notifications when their QR tags are scanned.
Facilitate communication between item owners and finders.
Manage item information, lost mode settings, and contact preferences.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, and to keep this information up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Service.

4. QR Tags and Items

4.1 Tag Ownership

QR tags purchased through the Service are for personal, non-commercial use. Each tag can be linked to one item at a time. Tags may be unlinked and reassigned to different items.

4.2 Item Information

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of item information you provide. Do not include sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers or financial details) in item descriptions or messages.

4.3 Lost Mode

The lost mode feature is designed to increase the chances of item recovery. TagIT does not guarantee that lost items will be found or returned. Reward offers are entirely at the discretion and responsibility of the item owner.

5. Finder Responsibilities

When you scan a TagIT QR tag, you agree to:

Use the information displayed only for the purpose of returning the item to its owner.
Not misuse, copy, or distribute the tag owner's information.
Communicate respectfully with item owners.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm other users.
Create fake scan reports or false item listings.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
Use automated means to access or collect data from the Service.

7. Payments and Refunds

7.1 Pricing

Tag prices and subscription fees are displayed in the app and on the website. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

7.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Razorpay. By making a purchase, you agree to Razorpay's terms of service and privacy policy.

7.3 Refunds

Digital QR tags are non-refundable once generated. Physical QR tags may be returned within 7 days of delivery if unused and in original condition. Shipping costs for returns are the responsibility of the buyer.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of TagIT and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

TagIT is a tool to assist in item recovery. We do not guarantee the return of any lost or stolen item. The effectiveness of the Service depends on factors beyond our control, including the actions of third parties who scan QR tags.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TagIT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TagIT, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
